Veronika Macurová Křížová graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň, where she was awarded the title Mgr. This was followed by a doctoral degree from the Faculty of Law at Charles University, where she was awarded the title JUDr. after successfully passing her examinations. During her studies, she took a course of study at the Faculty of Law at the Humboldt University in Berlin. After completing her university education, Veronika worked in the European Parliament in Brussels as second assistant in the office of the MEP. During an internship at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Berlin, she cooperated with the legal department, the diplomatic department and the PR department.
In 2009, she took a course of study at the State University in St. Petersburg. She then completed a year-long study programme to earn her LL.M. title at the Faculty of Law at UC Berkeley, specialising in intellectual property rights, the entertainment industry, law in the field of arts and privacy protection law. This course of study culminated in her being awarded the title LL.M. and also the BCLT Law & Technology Certificate.
Veronika has undertaken internships in law offices in Washington D.C. and in New York.
She has been cooperating with the Kříž a partneři s.r.o. law office since 2009, first as an articled clerk and then an attorney-at-law.
She is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) with which she cooperates on programmes for the Czech Republic.
JUDr. Veronika Macurová Křížová, LL.M. specialises in intellectual property law, in particular copyright, rights to protection of personality and personal data protection (GDPR) as well as protection against unfair competition. She also handles the general agenda in the field of civil law. She speaks English, German.
